Google’s Recent Ranking Volatility and Spam Updates

If your rankings have bounced around lately, you’re not imagining it. Google rolled out a major spam update in late August that continued well into September, followed by noticeable ranking volatility through October. These updates are part of Google’s ongoing effort to weed out low-quality or manipulative content and surface more trustworthy results. While the intent is to improve the overall search experience, it often causes temporary turbulence for legitimate sites — especially as Google’s algorithms adjust and recalibrate what they consider “high-quality.”

For many businesses, a brief dip or surge in rankings during these updates isn’t necessarily cause for alarm. It’s part of the natural fluctuation that happens when Google refreshes its systems. Sites that consistently perform well tend to have useful, original content, a clear structure, and demonstrated authority in their field.  For Koldban.com – this might be to your advantage.  We have only started working on the search ranking since August and most of the keyword are not ranked. Any forced refresh by Google can only make it better.

We’re actively monitoring our client’s site’s visibility through every period and reviewing performance metrics to ensure they stay ahead of any shifts (That is what they pay us to do!). We make adjustments if needed — from fine-tuning content to optimizing technical elements — so their rankings remain stable and continue to grow over time.
