You may have heard the phrase, “Content is King!”. This has been the mantra for content marketing for years. The reality is that there is a lot of truth in this. Personalize emails when you can. Keep content simple with a good balance of text and images. Spammers don’t usually “waste” time doing so, whereas some marketers want to dazzle with too many images. Emails with JavaScript and attachments also send a red flag.
When you send an email, you have to ensure that the email is useful to the recipient. Make sure that the email is not ONLY promoting yourself because that does not provide much value to the recipient. You have to give them something they want – either in the form of information, an offer or something that interests them.
